"Wine is the poetry of the earth"
-M. Soldati
Vigna Alta was born in the 90s, carrying on the legacy of Ambrogio and Mario Rovati, founders in 1960 of the homonymous winery, who began to market directly the wines obtained from the grapes that for generations had been produced in the family lands, in the municipality of Montù Beccaria.
Today the sons Emanuele and Patrizia directly manage about 12 hectares of vineyards, mainly cultivated with traditional vines, such as Barbera, Croatina, Riesling, Malvasia and Pinot Nero.
Passion, respect for the land and the desire to innovate are the foundations on which the company is based, whose goal is to improve the quality of the raw material and the wines that derive from it, referring to the tradition and history of Oltrepò, but at the same time applying new production concepts.
Every day, in the cellar and in the vineyard, the Vigna Alta staff works with enthusiasm, commitment and a pinch of creativity so that its wines are an expression of the beauty and quality of the territory from which they are born.
